thanks! the background texture is actually one i found on deviantart and messed about with, i can't for the life of me remember who the original texture belongs to, though. the rest of it was just experimenting with brushes and layer effects.

thanks! (wow, it's weird getting so much attention all of a sudden.) i never used to but i like how throwing in interesting textures adds to the composition and breaks down blocks of flat colour.
